Makeup help
Makeup is a great way of enhancing your own natural beauty! It can be simple and really pretty at the same time! Here are some basic tips on how to apply different makeup products and what products to use for what!
Makeup starts with a fresh and clean face, so your going to want to wash your face morning and night with a really great face wash! If you have oily skin or acne prone skin try Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash. It will help with the acne and it will help with oily skin! You can even try the pink grapefruit version as well. If you have normal to dry skin you may want to try Fresh Foaming Cleanser by Neutrogena, it's not only great for washing your face, but it also removes your makeup as well! It's great and inexpensive. These cover the most basic two types of skin, but if you have sensitive skin just find something that labels sensitive on the product! Now keep in mind that when you first use a face wash sometimes you may get a few pimples because your face isn't used to the new product, it doesn't happen to everyone, but give the product a good month or so before you decide to switch to a new one!

Now that you have a nice clean face, we can begin with the basics in makeup! I've put makeup items in categories for face, eyes, and lips, to make it easier for you to view!
Face
Your face should begin with something light and nice to even out skin tone on your face. The product best for doing this is foundation or tinted moisturizer. Now, don't think that you have to put on foundation, it's only meant for if you need it! So if you feel like you need it, then it's okay to pick out something light such as CoverGirls's Aqua CG Smoothers, it's about $4 at drugstores and does a great job at covering up redness or uneven skin tones. Another great product is Loreal True Match Foundation, this foundation comes in a bunch of different shades so it's easy to find the right color for you, not only that it covers redness really well! You may even like a light mineral powder instead of liquid, I really like Maybelline's Mineral Power Powder Foundation, it comes in a container with powder and a little brush. It's about $8-$12 depending on where you buy it, but it lasts a long time.
If you choose a liquid or tinted moisturizer than you may want to set it with a translucent face powder, NYC Smooth Skin Pressed Face Powder is $3 and does a great job at setting the foundation. You really want to set your foundation with a light powder because it helps to keep your makeup on all day and not melt off of your face. Whatever you choose be sure to blend some below the jawline because foundation can leave a line of where you put your makeup, so if you put some below the jawline it will look nice and natural!
If you have acne or dark circles under your eyes, you may want to try concealer. Just dab a little on the problem area and blend it out with your finger. A great concealer is Maybelline's 24 hour superstay Concealer.

Now that you have the basics covered, you can also choose to buy a bronzer and blush as some extras! Just pick out a great one form drugstores. A cool new product is by loreal and is The One Sweep Sculpting Blush! This is really cool because you just swipe a brush over the product and it picks up a blush and contour (contour helps to slim your face) and apply it to your cheeks and voila! It's that simple! (:
Eyes
Eyes are the next step to makeup! The first basic is eyeshadow. This is completely optional, but if you do wear some it will make your eyes pop and look super pretty! Try buying a Maybelline Quad that has neutral (browns and tans) colors! Now before you apply eyeshadow you may want to put an eyeshadow primer to your eyelids, check out Elf Eyelid Primer. By doing so, you will make your eyeshadows last all day and look more vibrant! Place the lightest eyeshadow(1) by the inner corner of your eye and by your eyebrow. Now take the next darkest color(2) and apply it on your eyelid, then take the darkest color(3) and apply this in the hollows of your eye.
You may also want to buy some mascara, try use a brown as this looks very pretty and natural, but you can also use black or even clear if you want a light look! A great one to try is Maybelline One by One Volume Express! You can even try eyeliner if you'd like! Just pick out a nice natural looking one, pencil is the easiest for beginners! That's it for the eyes [:
Lips
Lips can totally finish a look! For basic starters pick a very pretty gloss, something that you like a lot! A great one is Maybelline's Color Sensational Luscious Lipgloss. They come in squeezy tubes, perfect to put in a purse or school bag to touch up whenever you need to!
